The furniture strategy for Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art puts American design at the forefront. Working with leading U.S. manufacturers — including Knoll, Herman Miller, Blu Dot, Fyrn, Davis Furniture, Stylex, Hightower, OFS, and SIXINCH® USA — Callaghan Horiuchi curated pieces that reflect the museum’s values of craftsmanship, inclusivity, sustainability, and longevity.
Warm materials, thoughtful ergonomics, and inclusive design come together to support high-traffic museum use while maintaining a welcoming, human-centered aesthetic. Existing benches have also been refreshed with updated accessibility features, preserving their history as part of the museum’s evolving environment.
The result is a resilient and cohesive furniture program that celebrates American ingenuity and reinforces the museum’s mission to celebrate creativity and hospitality.
